Trip Photo Gallery
The Photos tab is your team's shared gallery for capturing and preserving trip memories. Team members can upload photos during or after the trip, and everyone on the team can view and download them.
Uploading Photos
To add photos to the trip gallery:
- Go to the Photos tab on your trip dashboard.
- Click Upload Photos.
- Select one or more images from your device. You can upload multiple photos at once.
- Supported formats include JPG, PNG, and HEIC. Photos are automatically optimized for web viewing.
- Add optional captions to describe what's happening in each photo.
There's no limit to the number of photos you can upload, but each individual file should be under 10 MB. Very large photos are automatically resized to a reasonable resolution.
Viewing & Browsing
Photos are displayed in a grid layout, with the newest uploads appearing first. You can:
- Click any photo to view it full-size in a lightbox.
- Use arrow keys or swipe to navigate between photos in the lightbox.
- See who uploaded each photo and when it was added.
- View captions and any tagged team members.
Tagging & Organization
Keep your gallery organized by:
- Adding descriptive captions that mention the activity or day.
- Tagging team members who appear in the photo.
- Photos are automatically sorted by upload date, making it easy to find images from specific days.
Downloading & Sharing
Want to keep copies of trip photos?
- Click the download icon on any individual photo to save it to your device.
- Leaders can download all photos at once for archival purposes.
- Share individual photos directly from the gallery via a link.
Photo Etiquette
A few things to keep in mind when uploading trip photos:
- Be mindful of the communities you visit — always get permission before photographing people, especially children.
- Avoid uploading photos that could compromise the safety or dignity of local contacts.
- Focus on positive, respectful images that honor the people and places you visited.
- Your organization may have specific photography policies — check with your trip leader.
