What counts as an opportunity
Anything concrete a person could turn up to. Serving a meal at a shelter. Tutoring on Tuesdays. A booth at a community festival. A short-term team. If somebody could reasonably ask "when and where?", it belongs here.
It can belong to one of your partners, or to nobody when your church runs the thing itself.
How often
- A one-off has a date.
- Recurring has a rhythm you describe in your own words, like "second Saturday, 9am to noon".
- Ongoing has neither and simply needs people.
What it asks of somebody
Fill in the commitment honestly: "about 3 hours" tells a person more than any description. If there is a cost, put it in. The page says the number on the card, again under the description, and once more before somebody presses send, so nobody finds out about the fifty dollars for transport after they have already said yes in front of people.
It starts as a draft
Unlike a partner, an opportunity is not published until you say so. A partner is a fact about your church; an opportunity is a promise to run something.
