Trip Overview & Dashboard
The Trip Overview is your command center for everything related to your mission trip. It gives you a snapshot of the trip's progress, key dates, and quick access to every area of trip management.
Understanding Your Stat Cards
At the top of the overview you'll see stat cards that summarize the most important metrics:
- Team Members — the number of approved members on your trip roster. This includes leaders, co-leaders, and regular members.
- Fundraising Progress — a percentage showing how much of the trip's overall fundraising goal has been raised so far. Click the card to jump to the fundraising tab for details.
- Days Until Departure — a countdown to the trip start date. After the trip begins, this switches to show trip duration remaining.
- Tasks Completed — shows how many tasks have been finished out of the total assigned. This helps leaders gauge team readiness.
Navigating Trip Tabs
Below the stat cards you'll find a row of tabs that organize every aspect of your trip:
- Overview — the main dashboard with stat cards, recent activity, and trip details.
- Team — manage team members, roles, and invitations.
- Fundraising — track donations, set milestones, and manage fundraising pages.
- Budget — view and manage trip expenses, per-person costs, and team costs.
- Travel — flight details, passport info, and travel documents.
- Itinerary — day-by-day schedule with activities.
- Tasks — to-do items assigned to team members.
- Meetings — pre-trip team meetings and attendance.
- Documents — upload and manage required documents and waivers.
- Photos — trip photo gallery for sharing memories.
- Applications — review and approve trip applications (leaders only).
Trip Status Meanings
Every trip has a status that reflects where it is in the lifecycle:
- Planning — the trip is being set up. Leaders are configuring details, adding team costs, and preparing applications.
- Registration Open — the trip is accepting applications from prospective team members.
- Registration Closed — no new applications are being accepted, but the trip has not started yet.
- Active — the trip is currently happening. The departure date has passed and the return date hasn't arrived yet.
- Completed — the trip has ended. Leaders can still access debrief, photos, and impact reporting.
- Cancelled — the trip was cancelled. Financial records and donor information are preserved for reference.
Quick Actions
From the overview tab, leaders can access common quick actions:
- Edit trip details (dates, location, description)
- Invite new team members
- View the trip's public page
- Send announcements to the whole team
If you're a team member (not a leader), your overview will focus on your personal progress — fundraising status, outstanding tasks, and upcoming meetings.
